My new go-to practice ammoSwitched to this S&B 230 grain FMJ from Blazer Brass and wont go back. Did a side by side at the range last weekend and the S&B was noticeably more consistent, my groups tightened up quite a bit. Its a bit dirtier than some other brands I've tried, lots of carbon to wipe off the gun after but nothing crazy. The rounds seem to sit a tiny bit longer than standard 45 so if you ever need to eject a live round from your 1911 the bullet tip can snag on the ejection port which is weird but not a dealbreaker. For the price and quality you really cant beat it.
