EMP .40 S&W Magazine

This is the factory magazine for the Springfield Armory 1911 EMP in .40 S&W. EMP stands for Enhanced Micro Pistol, Springfield's compact 1911 built around a shortened frame for short cartridges. Owners buy it as a spare for carry, a backup for range days, or a replacement for a worn original, and it holds 8 rounds.

• .40 S&W Chambering — The magazine is built for .40 S&W cartridges and is marked ".40" near the base so you can tell it apart from 9mm magazines at a glance.

• Polymer Slam Pad — The black polymer baseplate gives your palm a broad surface to drive the magazine home and protects the tube if it drops on a reload.
• Witness Hole — A cutout in the side of the tube lets you check the round count without unloading.
• Made In Italy By Mec-Gar — Mec-Gar manufactures it for Springfield Armory, and the side of the tube is stamped to say so.

Build and Fit

The magazine fits the 1911A1 EMP chambered in .40 S&W. It does not interchange with 9mm EMP magazines or with Champion-length EMP magazines, so confirm your pistol's caliber and model before ordering. The body, follower and spring are all metal, and the polymer slam pad is the only non-steel part.
