The PolyTac X USB is a 600 lumen tactical flashlight that can use either a proprietary Streamlight 18650 USB rechargeable Li-Ion battery or two (2) CR123A disposable batteries. It features a Rocky Stipple grip texture, a two way pocket clip, and a TEN-TAP programmable switch. The TEN-TAP program allows users a selection of 3 different programs.

For the money, you can't go wrong with the Polytac. 600 lumens, TenTap programmable with SL-B26 18650 battery. Polymer build with internal aluminum sleeve and head construction. Tempered glass lens. Tail cap button can be a bit stiff at first, but does get easier with use. One word of caution.....order the blister pack option if available. That way you're likely to get a genuine Streamlight. Lots of counterfeits of this brand floating around.

These lights are great for edc/duty/vehicle uses. I have several of these and have on my ready belt kit. One in my truck. One in my side table by the bed. They are very durable. They use either rechargeable 18650 or the streamlight 123A batteries. The beam is bright and has good flood. Two is one, one is none. To borrow a phrase. If you call yourself prepared you need this light.

Love this flashlight. Easy to use compared to others I own. I bought this mainly for work as a fire fighter and it exceeds my expectations. The color temperature is whiter than my Thrunite with a better hotspot and it makes it easier to focus on objects in a distance. This is my third Streamlight product and none has failed me. Also, at 600 lumens and 11,485 cd, it seems brighter than other companies flashlights at 1000 lumens.

I have 3 of these and they work great. I them installed on my Remy 12g 870,AR-15 and the 3rd is just a flashlight I use when letting the dogs out at night. Have worked great. Brighten up a fairly large area but still has a nice directed beam in the center. Shines farther out than I can really see with my aging eyes. The rechargeable battery hold a descent charge without constant recharging. The ones on mounted on the guns hold charge for at least a year but I always recharge them same time yearly. The one I use nightly only gets a recharge about every 2-3 weeks.

I use this for work, I am a mold technician and frequently have to point out mold to customers and coworkers. This sucker is bright, rechargeable and doesn’t care about being dropped off a ladder. The only problem I have had is the clip snapped off a month after I got it.

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another polytac x it has been great and I use it professionally as a mechanic daily. I’m constantly dropping it and this flashlight does not give up. It has a lifetime warranty that I’ve used before on previous flashlights. For those who are trying to use 18650 batteries you need a small round magnet to go on top of your 18650 e-cig battery for the flashlight to work or just buy a button head 18650 battery. The rechargeable battery included works perfect. The weakest part on the flashlight is the clip. I’ve had to replace the clip once. Other than that it’s an awesome flashlight and bright.

Great flashlight at a great price. I have both the battery operated and rechargeable version of the Streamlight 88613. Both are powerful and at a great price point compared to other similar flashlights. Lightweight and small enough to fit in your pocket. Having dropped these lights a few times I can say that they seem durable as well.

Performs as advertised but takes time to learn the programming. The battery requires 5 hrs to fully charge but the USB micro charger is welcome over regular lithium non-rechargeables. I have yet to see the medium light setting but prolly won't go lower than high. The light fits snugly into the molded holster and there's no worry of it popping out. I look forward to putting it through it's paces.

Iffy pocket clip

the ONLY thing I don't like about this light is the design of the pocket clip. It has a weak spot where it meets the body and can break if snagged on something you're squeezing through, like studs in a wall tht you're framing. Streamlight has a great warranty and will send you a new one quickly, but a very simple, low profile clip would do better, at least in my applications. The light is super bright, and the rechargeable battery a fairly long time on a charge. I am on my second one, because the clip failed.....

Tail switch unusable

As others have said the tail switch is unusable. Yes, the raised rim to prevent unwanted activation is somewhat annoying but it is not the deal breaker. The issue is the switch itself. It is "mushy" which I assume led me to be unable to engage the low light mode. I tried fast presses, slow presses, and everything in between but to no avail. Shame since I have 3 of the Streamlight lanterns and they perform flawlessly. Returned.

Excellent little light. Have had mine for almost a year now and am very pleased with it. Very bright for its size. Has a good throw distance with plenty of peripheral as well. Battery life is quite good with quality 18650's (about 4 hrs on highest setting of 600L). Strobe function has saved my skin once already, too. I work security and had to deter some scumbag with it - worked damn near as well as mace! All in all I highly recommend this light! Very well made just like all the other Streamlight stuff I've bought over the years.

I love this American company. I've had a Stinger for 22 years and the thing is a tank. The Polytac is a smaller EDC light that I am currently using for my primary light as an LEO. The grip on this is great and the light is a gazillion times bright then the LED upgrade I got on that old Stinger. Great purchase and I know this light will live longer than I will.
