The Streamlight TLR-3 tactical light is a compact, rail-mounted light designed to be used as an illumination aid for low-light shooting with a range of the world's most popular pistols. This innovative light utilizes a C4® LED that delivers a peak beam intensity of up to 5,000 candelas and 110 lumens. It is powered by a single 3V CR2 lithium battery, and boasts up to 1 1/2 hours of continuous use. With a range and brightness comparable to a xenon bulb, the C4® LED is said to be two to three times brighter than high-flux LEDs. Lighting is also aided by a unique parabolic reflector, which produces a concentrated beam for optimal peripheral illumination, giving you a complete view of your immediate surroundings. The light is manipulated by ambidextrous controls that provide for both momentary and steady on or off.
These electronics are housed within an ergonomic case that measures 2.71 inches in length, 1.18 inches in width and 1.51 inches in height. It is constructed from a tough, impact-resistant polymer and includes a face cap that is constructed from 6000 series machined aircraft aluminum with an anodized finish. It may also interest you to know that the TLR-3 is waterproof to one meter for up to 30 minutes and carries an operational temperature range between -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

<span>I liked the light, but there’s just not a lot of holsters out there for it. I have been using the Safariland 7365(The wrong one I received instead of the 7362..), and while it does enter the platform, I have to really yank it out.. Not really a good sign if I wanted to run it for work!</span>

<span>For about twice the price of the cheap chinese junk you get a good quality light.<br><br>While it's only 125 lumens it's still plenty bright for home defense use.<br><br>I really like the various cross bars so you can adjust the fit to your gun. The cheap chinese ones don't have that and you end up with a huge gap between the light and the trigger guard.</span>

<span>You have to install a "E" clip at the end of the bolt to keep it locked in, the small E clip took that came with the kit is so worthless. Ended up using the needle nose plier for the task, and scratched the light housing a bit. Other than that it works fine so far.</span>

<span>The price was great have two of these lights one for a Springfield xd40cal and one for Taurus pt24/7 9mm and fits just fine with the different sizes for diff guns. The lums is very bright and not sure about the battery life but have only replaced 2 in two years and they stay in storage most of the time</span>

Look at the 3rd photo (photo of the back of the light), if you zoom in you can see a tiny crack on the left side of the unit! That's exactly where this thing is going to eventually break.</span>

<span>I purchased this light for a fellow LE officer as a gift. I and a few others have the TLR-1 and thought this more compact weapon light would work just as well. Although I knew it wouldn’t be as bright as the TLR-1, it still seems to get the job done. Unlike the TLR-1, the TLR-3 does not fit into our department issue holsters while mounted on our Sig P226. The light is a little boxy and catches on the edge of the holster. I ended up keeping the light for my off duty carry, and getting buddy the TLR-1. I just can’t find a holster to fit it.</span>

<span>Great compact weaponlight for any of your firearms! It comes with a variety of different adaptors for various rails to fit on just about any firearm platform out there! The lockup it secured with a screw and the toggle switch is intuitive to use. There are more advanced lights on the market now that have double the output, but I prefer the lower light of the TLR-3, especially when waking up from a dead sleep. It gives enough light to ID a potential target, but not too much to blind you.</span>
