This is a genuine Swiss Army wool service jacket, cut as a tailored four-button tunic with an open lapel collar. Wool keeps you warm in cold, damp weather without the bulk of a parka, so the jacket works as a field layer, a fall and winter coat, or a period-correct piece for a reenactment or collection.
