The Fighting Load Carrier, or FLC, is the US military's load-bearing vest from the MOLLE II system. Its job is to hold the gear a soldier needs within reach, such as magazines, grenades, a canteen and an aid kit, and to spread that weight across the shoulders and torso. It suits airsoft and paintball players, reenactors, collectors and anyone building a field rig around genuine issue kit.

Features

• Full PALS Webbing — Horizontal rows of nylon strap (PALS, the Pouch Attachment Ladder System) cover the front panels and wrap the waist, so you can mount MOLLE pouches wherever you want them.
• MOLLE II System Component — The vest belongs to the Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment family, so it takes standard MOLLE pouches from any maker.
• Mesh Upper Body — Open mesh across the chest and shoulders lets heat escape while the webbing rows stay in place over it.
• Full-Length Front Zipper — A heavy zipper runs down the center so the vest goes on and comes off like a jacket.
• Quick-Release Chest Strap — A strap with a side-release buckle crosses the chest to hold the front closed and keep the load from shifting.
• Wide Shoulder Straps — Broad straps carry the weight over a larger area of the shoulder, with a top loop between them at the back of the neck.
• US Stenciled Marking — The shoulder strap carries the printed "US" marking found on government issue gear.
• Shoulder Retention Tabs — Webbing tabs on each shoulder strap give you a place to route cables, hydration tubes or a radio antenna.

US Military Issue

This is an original US military FLC made to the government specification, not a commercial copy. The examples pictured show the Army's digital Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP) with foliage green shoulder straps and a coyote brown version. Because it uses the standard PALS spacing, it works with the same pouches soldiers carried on it in service, which makes it a practical base for a period-correct loadout.
