LC-2 Pistol Belt

This is the US Army LC-2 pistol belt, officially the Belt, Individual Equipment, Nylon, LC-2. It was the waist foundation of the ALICE load-carrying system (All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment), built to carry ammunition pouches, canteens, a first aid kit and a holster close to the body. Collectors, reenactors and anyone setting up an ALICE-era rig carry it for the same job today.

Features

• Nylon Webbing Construction — The belt body is woven nylon webbing in OD green (olive drab), the standard US Army color of the period.
• Quick-Release Buckle — A black side-release buckle snaps closed at the front and opens with a squeeze, so you can drop the belt and everything on it in one move.
• Grommet Attachment Rows — Black metal eyelets run along the top and bottom edges, giving ALICE slide clips and older wire-hook pouches a fixed point to lock into.
• Adjustable Sizing Clips — Metal slide keepers with toothed edges grip the webbing on each side of the buckle, letting you shorten or lengthen the belt to your waist.
• Snap Keeper Tab — A short webbing tab with a metal snap holds the free end of the belt flat once it is sized.
• US Stencil Marking — The webbing carries a black "US" stencil, the standard government property marking on issued equipment.
• Printed Spec Label — A sewn-in label lists the item name, contract number, NSN and size, so the belt's provenance is easy to confirm.
• ALICE System Compatibility — The belt pairs with LC-2 suspenders, magazine pouches, canteen covers and other ALICE components built to the same attachment pattern.

Issue And Specification

The label on the belt shown reads contract DLA100-92-F-ED52 and NSN 8465-01-322-1966, with manufacture by Mississippi Industries for the Blind. An NSN is the National Stock Number the military assigns to each item it buys, which ties this belt to the government's own specification. The belt pictured is marked Size Large, for a waist of 30 inches or over. As genuine issued kit, it is the correct belt for an accurate ALICE loadout rather than a commercial stand-in.
