USGI 1-Quart Canteen
This is the US Army's 1-quart plastic canteen, the standard water bottle carried on belts and load-bearing gear by American troops. It holds about a quart (roughly 0.95 L), seals with a screw cap, and has a curved body that rides close to the hip instead of swinging loose. Hikers, campers, preppers and reenactors carry it for the same reasons soldiers did: it is simple, light and hard to lose parts from.

The 1-quart canteen is built to carry water and nothing else, and the molded warning on its face says so: keep it away from open flame and stove burners, since the plastic body is not made for heating. Real GI, not that airsoft junkOrdered two of these to replace the beat up ones I've had since my Army days. These are the real deal, thick plastic and the threads on the cap are clean. Fits my old ALICE cover perfect. Cant beat it for the price.

does exactly what it shouldGot this for my bug-out bag and its basically the same canteen I remember from basic training. Holds a full quart, fits perfect in my old ALICE pouch. The kidney shape sits flat against your hip so it doesnt dig in when you're hiking. Took it on a 6-mile day hike last weekend and it was fine. Only thing is the plastic feels a little thinner than the ones from the 90s, but honestly it held up and didnt leak at all. The cap tether is a lifesaver, I always lose caps on other bottles. For the price you cant beat it.
