The Viking Head is a morale patch from Mil-Spec Monkey, part of the company's collectible warrior head series. A morale patch is a small badge worn for identity or humor rather than rank or unit, and this one shows a bearded Norse warrior in a horned, nose-guarded helmet. It is sized to sit on the loop panels of packs, caps, pouches and plate carriers, and many collectors also add it to a patch board.

Features

• Molded PVC Construction — The version shown is molded PVC, a flexible rubber-like plastic that holds crisp edges and does not fray the way stitched thread can.
• Hook Fastener Backing — The back carries the hook half of a hook-and-loop fastener, so it presses onto any loop-faced panel and peels off again when you want to swap it.
• Approx. 2.1 x 3 Inches — At about 2.1 x 3 in (53 x 76 mm), it fits standard patch panels on caps, sleeves and gear without crowding them.
• Detailed Viking Artwork — The design shows a bearded warrior in a banded, riveted helmet with curved horns, picked out in black, white, gray, flesh tone and reddish brown.
• Raised Outlines — Each color area is separated by raised black linework, which keeps the face, beard and helmet readable from a distance.
• Gray Contour Border — A gray border follows the outline of the helmet and beard instead of a plain rectangle, giving the patch a cut-out shape.

Fit and Attachment

The hook backing needs a loop surface to grip, which most tactical caps, backpacks, plate carriers and pouches have built in as a dedicated patch panel. If your gear has no loop field, a sew-on or adhesive loop panel gives it one.
