El Guapo Morale Patch

El Guapo PVC Patch

The El Guapo is a morale patch from Maxpedition. A morale patch is a small, unofficial emblem that personalizes your kit. This one shows a grinning skull in a wide sombrero with a handlebar mustache and a gold tooth, set over a pair of crossed revolvers and a single red rose. It has a hook backing, so it mounts on any loop panel on a pack, plate carrier, hat or admin pouch and comes off again whenever you want to change your setup.

Features

• Molded PVC Construction — The patch is made from PVC rubber, which is flexible and holds up to rain and mud better than embroidered thread.
• 3D Raised Detail — The skull, hat, revolvers and rose are molded at different heights, so the design has real depth you can feel.
• Hook Backing — The rough hook side of a hook-and-loop fastener covers the back and grips the soft loop panels found on most tactical bags, hats and vests.
• Loop Sheet Included — A loop-lined backing sheet comes with the patch, so you can sew it onto clothing that has no loop panel or cover the hook side in storage.
• Compact 2.6 x 2.3 Inch Size — At 2.6 inches wide by 2.3 inches tall (about 66 x 58 mm), it fits small loop fields on caps and admin panels.
• Lightweight At 0.388 oz — The patch weighs well under half an ounce, so it adds nothing you will notice to a loaded pack.
• Original Bandit Artwork — The scrollwork border and the "M" on each revolver grip mark it as Maxpedition's own design.
• Made In Taiwan — Maxpedition has the patch manufactured in Taiwan.

Mounting and Build

The hook backing presses onto standard loop fields on Maxpedition bags and most other tactical gear, then peels off without damaging the panel underneath. If a garment has no loop panel, stitch the included loop sheet in place and the patch attaches the same way. The artwork is mostly black and gray, with a red rose and gold accents on the hat brim and tooth, so it stands out on dark kit without being loud.
