Walther P1 / P38 Cartridge Indicator Pin
The Walther P1 / P38 Cartridge Indicator Pin is the small steel pin that drives the loaded chamber indicator on the rear of the slide — when a round is chambered, this pin pushes through the slide to show, both visually and by feel, that the pistol is hot. It is an original Carl Walther GmbH part produced in Germany for the P1 service pistol issued to the Bundeswehr. The pin is a known wear item on the P38 and P1 platform and tends to fail or peen over with extended use.
