Rothco's Woodland Camo BDU Shorts take the cut of the military Battle Dress Uniform trouser, the field uniform US forces wore for decades, and shorten it for hot weather. You get the same pocket layout and adjustable waist as the full-length pants, with an inseam of roughly 10.5 inches that ends just above the knee. They work for range days, camp chores, hiking and everyday summer wear.

• Cotton-Polyester Blend — The 55% cotton, 45% polyester fabric is comfortable against the skin and holds its shape better than pure cotton after repeated washing.
• Six-Pocket Layout — Two front slash pockets, two thigh cargo pockets and two rear pockets give you room for a phone, wallet, keys and small gear.
• Flapped Cargo Pockets — A covering flap on each side cargo pocket helps keep the contents in place when you kneel, climb or move quickly.
• Button-Down Rear Pockets — Both back pockets close under a buttoned flap, which suits a wallet you don't want to lose.
• Button Fly Closure — The front fastens with buttons rather than a zipper, as on the original BDU pattern.

These are commercially made by Rothco to the BDU design, not surplus issue, so they arrive new and in a consistent fit. The relaxed military cut leaves room through the seat and thigh, and the side tabs let you tighten the waist without depending on a belt. The cotton-polyester blend takes daily wear and machine washing well, which makes these a practical everyday pair as much as a field one.
