This was my first gas mask I've ever bought! A fine first addition to my collection :) Thankfully before I even thought of putting the filter on, I did some research and found rumours old cold-war era soviet filters have asbestos in them as well as tearing (in the filter) with issues of chromium. Taking this into consideration, I'd advise looking for a 40mm adapter & getting 40mm canisters. Otherwise it came in great condition! The bag smells like old surplus shit (which isn't bad), but it is in great shape! Nothing that a wash couldn't freshen up. Came with an authentic instruction manual in the bag (from 1961! All in Serbian/Yugoslavian) and two little baggies of wipes for the eyes! Apparently there are issues of melting with these, there was melting around where the filter is inserted. To be expected from something older than me by 40 years! Otherwise a nice buy.
