My first piece of 550 was purchased for a keychain and this second one I wanted to do a few laces for a purse, as for the cord its very hard, I have had it soaking in dawn and let me tell you, still very stiff. The only way it would come off was to cut through the fibers which was time consuming. Not a bad idea but needs work. The string was also coarse to the eye but soft in the hands, a double paradox. I hope the cord gets softer and more manageable as I work with it. If I could make an adjustment I would put in one to many strands in one wrap as the cord is a little loose at the wraps as if I had missed a spot, all good in all and the value is worth the purchase, 15 feet is more then enough, unless you're looking to tie a noose for your tarp, if that's the case you need at least 30 feet!

What can I say that others haven't already said. The cord is strong, very well manufactured and a great length. It's exactly what I wanted. It came in a long tight coil, but I easily unraveled it and will recoil it and put it in my backpack when not in use. The outer cover has writing on it, which is what I wanted for fire winding as I have often used inner tent cords with outer wraps from table cloths. But for most uses, it's unseen, as it's the liner that's normally used. But it has some minor dye leaks, but no biggie. A product you can count on, and for what I wanted, it can't be beaten.

this paracord feels good, works good and strong enough to cut thru a person's leg if needed, so do not buy this product unless you really know how to use paracord or do not buy this at all, 5 stars

Well, after making lots of projects with another type of paracord (the clear "type 3") it is great to find quality type 7 cord. I am very satisfied with the atwood cord. The inner braid is thicker, has more strands and doesn't fray as much.

I don't have a lot of the colored ones,but I've got enough to get the color I need for the time. I'm pleased with it and you can't beat the price. If your looking for 550,go to Amazon.com . If your just looking for paracord that doesn't tear,this is the one. Thanks,JD,Va.
