Red 550 Paracord, 100 Feet

This is 100 feet of Rothco Type III 550 nylon paracord in red, sold as a bundled hank under Rothco's G.I. Plus label. Paracord is the woven nylon cord first developed for parachute lines, and campers, hunters and preppers now use it for tie-downs, shelter lines, lanyards, bootlace replacements and gear repairs. Red is easy to spot against leaf litter, snow or the inside of a pack, so it suits guy lines, trail marking and anything you don't want to lose.

Construction And Origin

The cord follows the familiar kernmantle layout: a braided nylon sheath over a 7-strand nylon core, finished at a 5/32 inch diameter. It melts cleanly with a lighter for sealed ends and handles the usual knots, lashings and braiding projects.
