Royal Blue 550 Paracord

This is 100 feet of Rothco Type III nylon paracord in royal blue, rated to 550 lb. Paracord was originally used for parachute suspension lines, and it is now a standard piece of camping, survival and utility kit. It works for shelter lines, gear lashing, bootlace replacements and bracelet or lanyard crafting. The bright blue is easy to spot on the ground, in a pack or tied off around camp.

Construction And Origin

The cord comes from Rothco's G.I. Plus line and is labeled Type III Commercial. That means it uses the standard Type III build and is made for civilian sale rather than drawn from government-issue stock. The sheath and core are both nylon, so the strength runs through the whole cord and does not depend on a filler. It will tie the same knots and fit the same buckles as any other 550 cord you already own.
