AR-15 Disconnector

The disconnector is the small part in an AR-15 trigger group that lets the rifle fire one shot per trigger pull. After each shot it catches the hammer as the bolt carrier cycles. When you let the trigger forward to reset, it hands the hammer back to the trigger sear. Fit and Installation

The disconnector sits in a slot in the trigger body, held on the same pin as the trigger and pushed up by its own small spring, which is a separate component. To install it, drift out the trigger pin, fit the disconnector and spring into the trigger, and reassemble. Drop-in cassette triggers use their own internal disconnectors, so this part is meant for rifles running a conventional separate-component trigger group.
