Nice for a hammer swapDropped this M-16 hammer into my lower last weekend and the sear hook engagement felt right on the money out of the box, no weird grinding or hangups when I cycled it dry.
Would buy again for a spare.

Awesome hammer for the priceJust got this and installed it in my AR. Put about 200 rounds down range and it's performing flawlessly. The shipping was lightning fast, ordered on Monday had it by Wednesday. Definitely recommend for a budget build.

Proper Mil-Spec Hammer, Finally Got One RightIve been chasing down correct mil-spec M16 fire control parts for my registered receiver build and this hammer is spot on. The hook engagement surface where it catches the auto sear is properly ground and the geometry is correct... not like some of the aftermarket stuff floating around on GunBroker that's cast and out of spec. Hardened steel, parkerized finish looks correct, and the sear engagement is crisp with no slop. Compared to the Luth-AR M16 hammer (which comes with the J spring included), this one doesn't ship with a spring but honestly I already had spares so that wasn't an issue for me. Installed it alongside the correct disconnector and auto sear in my registered M16 lower and it runs like a sewing machine. Don't cheap out on surplus hammers from SARCO that have wear on the sear hooks get a new manufacture one like this.
