M16 Disconnector
The disconnector is the small part in the fire control group (the trigger, hammer and related parts housed in the lower receiver) that catches the hammer after each shot. It holds the hammer back until you release the trigger, so the rifle cannot fire again until the trigger resets. This United Defense part is a replacement disconnector made to the M-16 pattern, for builders and armorers servicing or rebuilding an M16-pattern trigger group.

Does exactly what it's supposed toDropped this in my lower and it fit perfect first try, no fitting needed. Mil-spec all the way, feels solid and well made compared to some cheaper ones ive bought before. Reset is crisp and trigger pull feels clean.

Exactly what my lower neededDropped this in my DPMS lower alongside a new trigger group and everything reset clean right out of the box. Put about 400 rounds of M193 through it at the range last weekend with zero issues. Ive swapped a lot of FCG parts over the years and this one feels like quality mil-spec stuff, no slop, no weird geometry. Shipping was fast too, had it in 3 days which I wasnt expecting.
