M16 Pattern Selector
This is the United Defense M-16 selector, made to U.S. military part number 8448630. The selector is the rotating switch on the left side of the lower receiver that sets the rifle's firing mode. This one has the three-position M16 layout: Safe, Semi-Auto and Full-Auto. Builders, armorers and AR owners use it to replace a worn, damaged or aftermarket selector with a part made to the original military drawing.

Fit And Function
The selector is sized for mil-spec AR-15, M16 and M4 lower receivers and uses the standard selector detent and spring, which are not included. In a semi-automatic AR-15 with a semi-auto trigger group, the selector does not add automatic fire and works as a safe and fire switch. Owners are responsible for following all federal, state and local laws covering fire control parts.

Smooth as butterI dropped the M‑16 Selector into my build and it popped right in with no fuss. The lever feels solid and the full‑auto response is instant, just like the OEM parts. Ran about 600 rounds at the range and never had a mis‑fire.

Easy installSimple part simple job. Popped my old worn selector out and this one went right in, took me maybe 5 minutes with the lower on the bench. The knurling on the lever gives you a good grip with gloves on which I like when Im at the range in the winter. Wish it came with a spare detent spring since your already in there but thats a small thing. Would buy again if I need another one.
