Fit and Installation

On an AR-15, the magazine catch spring slides over the threaded shaft of the catch on the right side of the receiver, and the magazine release button screws onto the shaft to hold it in place. Replacing it needs no special tools beyond something to press the button while you turn the catch off or on. It is a small part, but it decides how securely every magazine locks in.
