AR-15 Safety Selector

The United Defense AR-15 Selector is the safety lever that switches your rifle between safe and fire. It is the part your thumb finds every time you shoulder the rifle, so a worn, damaged or missing one has to be replaced before the gun is usable. It suits anyone finishing a lower receiver build or swapping out a tired original part.

Features

• Standard AR-15 Pattern — The selector is shaped to pass through the safety hole in an AR-15 lower receiver, the frame that holds the trigger group.
• Serrated Thumb Paddle — Raised ridges across the face of the lever give your thumb something to bite on with gloves or wet hands.
• Single-Sided Lever — The paddle sits on one end of the barrel only, in the conventional left-side layout for a right-handed shooter.
• Profiled Barrel — The cut-down center section of the shaft lets the trigger move in the fire position and blocks it in the safe position.
• Detent Retention — The selector stays in place on the lower's own detent and spring, the small spring-loaded pin under the pistol grip that also gives each position its click.
• Black Finish — An even black finish matches standard AR-15 receivers and controls.

Fit And Installation

This selector goes in during lower receiver assembly, after the trigger group and before the pistol grip, since the grip holds the detent spring in place. Once installed, check that the lever moves cleanly between both positions and that the trigger will not release with the selector on safe.
