AR-15 Rear Takedown Pin

The takedown pin holds the rear of an AR-15's upper and lower receivers together. Push it out and the upper hinges open on the front pivot pin, giving you access to the bolt carrier group and fire control parts for cleaning or inspection. This United Defense pin replaces one that is worn, damaged or lost, and suits builders assembling a lower from parts.

Fit And Installation

This listing is for the pin only. It works with the takedown detent and spring already in your lower receiver, which sit in a bore at the rear of the lower behind the buffer tube end plate. If those parts are missing or worn, replace them at the same time so the pin holds correctly in both positions.
