AR-15 Trigger Guard

The United Defense AR-15 Trigger Guard is a replacement guard for the AR-15 lower receiver, the part of the rifle that holds the trigger group and magazine well. It closes off the space beneath the trigger so the trigger is protected from snags and accidental contact. Use it to replace a lost, bent or worn guard, or to complete a lower you are building from parts.

Features

• Standard Straight Profile — The flat, straight bar follows the familiar factory pattern instead of the curved, oversized shape some aftermarket guards use.
• AR-15 Lower Receiver Fit — It is made to sit between the mounting ears at the front and rear of the trigger opening on an AR-15 lower.
• Two-Point Mounting — Each end has a rounded boss with a pin hole, so the guard is held at both the front and the rear of the trigger opening.
• Front Detent Plunger — A round plunger shows at one end, which lets the front of the guard be released and swung down in the usual AR-15 manner.
• Black Finish — The plain black finish matches the look of most AR-15 lower receivers.
• Drop-In Replacement Part — It is a single component, useful for repairing a damaged guard or finishing a lower parts build.

Fit and Installation

The guard follows the standard AR-15 layout, with the rear end held by a roll pin and the front end retained by a detent. Fitting a new guard usually means supporting the receiver ears while you drive the rear pin, which protects the ears from cracking. Check your lower receiver against the standard AR-15 pattern before you order.
