The ESEE Churp is a small, slim folding knife for everyday carry: opening packages, cutting cord, trimming tags and the many small jobs that come up at work or in camp. It pairs a D2 steel blade with black woven carbon fiber scales and a polished steel pocket clip. It suits anyone who wants a light, low-profile knife that rides in a pocket without much notice.

Features

• D2 Tool Steel Blade — D2 is a high-carbon tool steel known for holding an edge well, and the blade is stamped D2 at the base.
• Drop Point Profile — The spine curves gently down to the tip, giving a strong point and a plain edge that handles general cutting well.
• Liner Lock — A spring-loaded strip of metal inside the handle moves behind the open blade to hold it in place, and you push it aside with your thumb to close the knife.
• Nail Nick Opening — A groove cut into the blade gives your thumbnail a place to catch and swing the blade open.
• Carbon Fiber Handle Scales — Black woven carbon fiber covers both sides of the handle, a stiff and lightweight material with a visible checkered weave.
• Polished Steel Pocket Clip — The clip is fixed with three screws at the butt of the handle and holds the knife against the edge of a pocket.

Build and Markings

The blade is marked BRK-CHURP, D2 and CHINA on the reverse side, which identifies the model, the steel and the country of manufacture. The handle is built on open spacers rather than a solid backspacer, so lint and debris are easy to clear out. The knife ships in an ESEE-branded box.
