These Rothco pants follow the cut of the U.S. military BDU, or Battle Dress Uniform, the six-pocket field trouser that soldiers wore for decades. The city camo pattern mixes white, light gray, charcoal and black, a palette suited to concrete and urban settings. They suit airsoft and paintball players, people who work outdoors, and anyone who wants a hard-wearing cargo pant with a classic military look.

• Cotton-Polyester Blend — The 55% cotton, 45% polyester fabric gives you the comfort of cotton, while the polyester adds strength and resists shrinking.
• Reinforced Seat And Knees — Extra fabric layers sewn over the seat and knees cover the spots that wear through first when you kneel, crawl or sit on rough ground.
• Bellows Cargo Pockets — Two large thigh pockets have pleated sides that expand to hold bulkier items, and button-down flaps keep the contents in place.
• Six-Pocket Layout — Two front slash pockets and two button-flap back pockets join the cargo pockets, giving six pockets in total.
• Button Fly — The front closes with buttons in the traditional military style rather than a zipper.
• Adjustable Waist Tabs — Side tabs at the waistband let you take in the fit a little, with or without a belt.
• Drawstring Ankle Ties — Cords at the hem cinch around the ankle or let you blouse the pants over boots, meaning tuck and gather the hem so it sits neatly on top of the boot.

Build And Fit

Rothco based these pants on the standard-issue U.S. BDU pattern, so the cut, pocket placement and reinforcements match what soldiers were issued. The straight leg opening is wide enough to wear over boots comfortably, and the ankle ties let you blouse the hem instead. The belt loops take a standard trouser or rigger's belt.
