Rothco City Camo BDU Shirt

This is Rothco's take on the BDU shirt, short for Battle Dress Uniform, the long-sleeve field blouse the U.S. military wore for decades. It follows that issue pattern closely: four front cargo pockets, a covered button front, reinforced elbows and adjustable cuffs. The city camo print, a woodland-style pattern in black, white and shades of grey, makes it a common pick for urban airsoft and paintball, workwear, costume and streetwear, and anyone building a matching set with BDU pants.

Features

• Poly-Cotton Twill — A 55% cotton, 45% polyester twill, woven in a tight diagonal pattern, combines the comfort of cotton with the strength and wrinkle resistance of polyester.
• City Camo Pattern — Black, white and grey shapes in a woodland layout cover the whole shirt, including the collar, cuffs and pocket flaps.
• Four Front Cargo Pockets — Two chest pockets and two lower pockets close under button-down flaps so their contents stay put.
• Bellowed Lower Pockets — The lower pockets have pleated sides that expand, so they hold bulkier items without pulling the shirt out of shape.
• Pen Access At Left Chest — The left chest pocket has an opening for pens and small tools, so you can grab them without unbuttoning the flap.
• Concealed Button Placket — A fabric flap covers the front buttons, giving a clean front and keeping the buttons from snagging.
• Reinforced Elbows — Extra layers of fabric over the elbows take the wear that hits a field shirt first.
• Button-Tab Adjustable Cuffs — Tabs at each cuff button to cinch the sleeve snug at the wrist or loosen it to roll up.

Build And Fit

Rothco cuts this shirt on the military BDU pattern, so it fits loose and boxy and wears more like a light jacket than a dress shirt. It is meant to go over a T-shirt and to tuck in or hang open. The poly-cotton twill holds its shape and color better than straight cotton. As the photos show, it pairs directly with Rothco's city camo BDU pants for a full uniform.
