Crimson Trace Corporation has been at the forefront of laser targeting systems since they released their first pair of Crimson Trace Grips. Now with polymer framed pistols being the new standard, Crimson Trace has developed some of the most innovative lasers that are designed for these specialized pistols. The Crimson Trace LG-449 laser is an excellent example of a newly designed Crimson Trace laser for one of the most popular compact pistols available, the Ruger SR9c and SR40c.

Using an installation method that extends the trigger guard of the SR9c or SR40c, the LG449 is well made, light weight, and easy to install. Requiring no specialized tools or gunsmithing experience, this laser will quickly install onto your SR9c or SR40c and the locking screws that come with the LG-449 will ensure that it stays in place until you are ready to remove it. The installation instructions also include all of the operating instructions for the laser and specifications for when you need to replace the battery.

    Best laser ive ever used

    Its extremely easy to install. It comes with a set screw to attach it to your frame. The only thing you have to do is punch the screws that hold the laser and the mounting screws for the rear sight. They do it all for you and there's only two of them. I have this setup on my ccw weapon and a custom pistol that shoots 22lr and the high dollar 223 rifle I use. I love them. All the ones I have are crimson trace. They're super easy to use, nice to shoot with, I use them in competition and i cant even tell that i'm wearing them when im doing things like dry fire or cold firin a lot of reps. You can get it as a direct fit or an adaptor to use with the scorpion EOS system.

    I bought this laser for my SR40c, and while it fit just fine on that gun, the adjustment screw for the switch on the grip, did not fit. However, a little research showed me the gun is made by Starmark in Italy, and the cut out for the adjustment switch is different on their guns than Ruger American, so it would not fit. I returned it and bought one for my SR9c. This one fits perfect, is easy to install, and is a nice improvement over the rear sites on these guns. This laser has a really nice switch that snaps into position with no worries about it coming loose.

    Just the little bit of extra accuracy it provides, even if it does make the gun a bit bigger, is a good investment for me.
