Folding Field Shovel

The Estonian Army Tri-Fold Shovel is a compact entrenching tool, the folding shovel soldiers carry for digging fighting positions, clearing ground and general camp work. It folds into a flat package small enough for a pack or belt, then opens into a usable shovel with a full-width blade and a loop grip. Campers, overlanders, hunters and preppers carry it for fire pits, latrines, snow and getting a stuck vehicle moving again.

Features

• Tri-Fold Design — The blade and handle fold onto the shaft, so the whole shovel collapses into a flat, compact bundle for carrying.
• Threaded Locking Collar — A ribbed collar on the shaft screws down over the blade joint to hold the shovel firm while you dig.
• Serrated Blade Edge — Teeth along one side of the blade let you saw through roots and packed soil instead of only chopping at them.
• Pointed Spade Blade — The angled tip bites into hard ground more easily than a flat-ended blade.
• Triangular Loop Handle — The closed D-style grip gives a secure two-handed hold, and you can use it with gloves on.
• Dark Military Finish — The blade, shaft and handle all carry a dark, low-shine finish in keeping with field kit.
• Carry Pouch Included — A fitted nylon cover with a flap closure holds the folded shovel and keeps the blade edge covered.
• Belt Loop Attachment — A webbing loop on the back of the pouch slides onto a belt or strap for hands-free carry.

Pouch And Carry

Folded, the shovel fits inside its pouch at about the size of an open hand, small enough to strap to a pack or keep under a vehicle seat. The pouch is olive nylon with bound edges and a flap that closes over the handle. To deploy, unscrew the collar, swing the blade and handle out, then tighten the collar again to lock it.
