Cold Weather Face Cover
Exposed skin is the first thing cold wind finds. This US Army extreme cold weather mask covers the forehead, cheeks, nose, chin and throat in one sage green cotton piece and leaves only the eyes open. It sits flat enough to wear under a helmet or parka hood. Soldiers, winter hunters, cold-weather campers and collectors of US military issue all have a use for it.
Features
- Full-Face Cotton Panel — A single sage green cotton face piece runs from the hairline to below the chin, with serged edges, meaning the raw fabric is stitched over so it does not fray.
- Stitched Nose And Mouth Flap — A raised triangular flap is sewn over the nose and mouth and stands off the face rather than pressing flat against it.
- Oval Eye Openings — Two cut-out eye ports with stitched edges leave the eyes uncovered.
- Extended Chin And Neck Panel — The lower section continues past the chin to cover the throat and close the gap a collar usually leaves.
- Elastic Head Harness — Black elastic straps run over the crown, around the back of the head and across the nape to hold the mask in place.
- Hook-And-Loop Neck Closure — The nape strap passes through a metal ring and fastens with hook-and-loop, the grip-tape fastener often called Velcro, so you can tighten or release it quickly.
- Hook-And-Loop Face Tabs — Small hook-and-loop patches sit on each cheek and at the tip of the nose flap.
- Helmet-Compatible Profile — The flat fabric and low strapping fit under a combat helmet or a hood without bunching.
- NSN 8415-01-181-1398 — The mask is listed under this National Stock Number, the 13-digit code the US military supply system uses to identify each issued item.

face was warm but glasses were a mess15 degrees in the stand, face never got cold, can't argue with that. But my glasses fogged so bad I couldn't see the trail back to the truck. Ended up pulling it up over my nose which kind of defeated the point. Real USGI though, not some airsoft knockoff. Might work better if you wear contacts.

Best Cold Weather Mask I've OwnedI work outside in Minnesota winters and this thing is no joke, wore it during a morning shift when it was -8 and my face stayed WARM the whole time. The sage green color looks legit and the material feels heavy duty not like the cheap fleece stuff you find at walmart. Only thing I noticed is the nose area fogs my safety glasses up a tiny bit but thats kind of expected with any mask like this. Overall this is exactly what I needed and I already ordered a second one.

If you're looking at those modern ColdAvenger masks, honestly this has way more character and at a fraction of the price. The ventilated mouth guard lifts with studs for when you need to eat or drink. Only thing to note is sizing - these were made for average adult heads so if you've got a melon like mine you might need to adjust the straps all the way out. Perfect for completing my ECWCS setup.

Love USGI gear.Does exactly what it says. Wore this during a late January hunting trip in northern Minnesota where temps dropped to -15°F with wind chill. Kept my face protected the whole time. The sage green color blends well in the field.
