Federal American Eagle 9mm Ammo - 124 Grain FMJ

124-Grain 9mm Range Ammo

Federal AE9AP is 9mm Luger practice ammunition from the American Eagle line, loaded with a 124-grain full metal jacket bullet in a brass case. Federal designed it for recreational shooting and training, where you need a consistent, affordable round you can fire in volume. It suits handgun owners who put regular hours in at the range, new shooters learning fundamentals, and anyone keeping a 9mm pistol or carbine fed for practice.

Features

• 9mm Luger Caliber — Also known as 9x19mm or 9mm Parabellum, it fits any firearm chambered for 9mm Luger.
• 124-Grain Bullet — Grain is the standard unit of bullet weight (7,000 grains to the pound), and 124 grains is one of the most common 9mm weights.
• Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) — A lead core enclosed in a harder metal jacket feeds smoothly and leaves less lead fouling in the barrel than an exposed-lead bullet.
• Brass Cases — Brass seals well in the chamber and extracts cleanly from the gun after each shot.
• Centerfire Priming — The primer sits in the center of the case head, as on all standard 9mm pistol cartridges.
• 1,150 FPS Muzzle Velocity — Federal rates the load at 1,150 feet per second as it leaves the barrel.
• 364 Ft-Lbs Muzzle Energy — That figure puts it squarely in the normal range for standard-pressure 124-grain 9mm.
• 50 Rounds Per Box — Each box holds 50 cartridges, a practical quantity for a single range session.
• American Eagle Line — This is Federal's range and training ammunition range, built for volume shooting.

Load and Compatibility

The AE9AP pairs a round-nose FMJ bullet with a brass case, a shape that feeds reliably in most semi-automatic 9mm handguns and pistol-caliber carbines. Check that your firearm is marked 9mm Luger, 9x19mm or 9mm Parabellum before loading. The box end is printed with the caliber, bullet weight and bullet type, which makes it easy to identify on the shelf or in a range bag.
