The French Army Machete by Wildsteer — designated the Wild Tiger — is a full-tang fighting and survival machete designed for and issued to French Army Commandos and vehicle crews. The 12 3/4" X46Cr13 stainless steel blade carries a black finish, a 3/16" thick spine, and a 55–56 HRC hardness rating, paired with a grooved Kraton handle and integrated guard for a locked-in grip. It ships with a black cord lanyard and a heavy nylon belt sheath for secure carry. Built for crash rescue, brush clearing, and hard-use field work where a knife simply isn't enough blade.

This thing is an absolute beastOkay so I collect military issue blades from around the world and this Wildsteer Wild Tiger might be my new favorite. The 12 3/4" blade is thick, heavy, and came with a surprisingly decent edge right out of the box. The X46Cr13 stainless steel with the black finish looks mean and the Kraton handle with the integrated guard gives you a really secure grip even when your hands are wet or sweaty. Took it out to my property and cleared about 30 feet of overgrown brush and saplings it chops like a dream and the weight of the blade does most of the work for you. The fact that this was designed for French Commandos and SOF units tells you everything about the build quality. At 17 5/8" overall its the perfect size, big enough to do real work but not so long that its unwieldy. Made in France, issued to the French military this is the real deal.
