Must have!Got this to match my hammock and tarp setup for camping and it works perfect. Nice coyote tan color that goes with everything. Came new in a plastic bag and had a slight musty smell but I hand washed it with some woolite and aired it out on a breezy day and it smells fine now. Its not huge at about 60x40 so dont expect to wrap up in it like a big comforter but for what it is its solid. Fire resistant and genuinely warm even when its a little damp out.

Great For Hammock Camping SetupI saw someone mention using this with their hammock setup and thats exactly what I do now, it matches my tarp perfectly and the tan color blends right into the woods. Draped it under me in the hammock one night when it got chilly and I was SHOCKED how warm it kept me for how thin it looks. The wool blend is doing work for real. Would buy again without thinking twice.
Great natural insulation for its thickness and weight
Not a huge blanket so layering may be needed in very cold temps

Tougher than I expected honestlyBought this on a whim cause I needed something for the fire pit area and wow this thing is legit heavy duty. Threw it over some hot coals by accident and it didnt even scorch. Smells a little weird when you first open it but that goes away after airing it out for a day or two. Definitely keeping a second one in the truck.
Actually fire resistant like they say lol

ImpressiveGot this from Keep Shooting and inspected it pretty thoroughly when it arrived. Exactly what you'd expect on a genuine Esercito Italiano issue blanket, not one of the Rothco reproductions that gets passed off as surplus all over eBay. The weave is tight and even, hemmed edges show good uniform stitching with no fraying, and the tan is consistent across the whole panel with no fading patches from storage. Smaller than a US GI wool blanket but the modacrylic blend makes it genuinely fire-resistant rather than just 'wool is slow to burn' like the older 100% wool Italian officer blankets from the '80s. A legitimately useful piece of kit, not just a shelf display item.
Not a repro
Is on the smaller side

Perfect addition to our camping gearWe keep this near our fire pit when we go camping and it makes me feel alot safer having it around. Shipping was super fast too, got it in like 3 days. Definately recommend if your looking for peace of mind.
Good quality fire-proof material
A bit bulky to fold up
