Emergency Blanket

Compact Emergency Blanket

The SE EB1310 Emergency Blanket is a silver reflective sheet that you unfold and wrap around yourself when you are cold, wet, or stuck outdoors longer than planned. It reflects your own body heat back toward you, which makes it useful for exposure, shock, or a night out without proper shelter. Sona Enterprises sells it in its Survivor Series for camping, hunting and hiking. Because it folds down to a thin packet, it also fits in a car kit, a go-bag or a first-aid pouch.

Features

• 84 x 52 Inch Sheet — Unfolded, it measures 84 in (213 cm) long by 52 in (132 cm) wide, enough to drape over an adult from head to ground.
• Reflective Silver Surface — The mirror-like face bounces radiated body heat back toward the wearer, so less of it escapes into the cold air.
• Retains Body Heat — Wrapped snugly around the body, the sheet traps warmth and gives you time to get out of the weather or wait for help.
• Lightweight Build — The thin film weighs very little, so it adds almost nothing to a pack, a pocket or a glove box.
• Folds Flat — It packs into a slim rectangle that slides into a backpack pocket, vehicle kit or first-aid bag.
• Reusable — The manufacturer rates it for repeat use, so you can refold it after a trip and keep it in your kit.
• Sealed Retail Pack — It comes in a clear bag with a hang card, which keeps it clean and dry until you open it.
• Survivor Series — SE packages it for camping, hunting and hiking, where the weather can turn before you get back to the truck.

Size and Packing

The blanket opens to a full 84 x 52 inches and is folded into a compact packet in a clear sealed bag, model number EB1310 on the card. Keep it sealed in your kit until you need it. Once it has been opened it can be folded again and carried for the next outing. Its size lets you wrap it like a hooded cloak, lay it over someone, or use it as a ground sheet under a sleeping bag.
