Black M-65 Field Jacket

Firstly I want to point out that I ordered a similar style of coat from a local company that did a pretty good job of knocking this style off for much less. I have nothing against these guys, it's great for what it is. I got this item because I liked the Rothco M-65 a lot and wanted to compare it to what I've already got and see if I could find any differences. I can tell you right now, this Rothco is just a little better in quality. If you look at the photos I've taken you can see a better cut to the sleeves and just an overall quality to the feel of the materials. I did have one issue and was worried about returning it, however the company did a very professional job of working with me. They offered a full refund and then replaced the coat that was wrong with a better version that I will be receiving in 3 days. Thank you all at KEEPSHOOTING for taking care of me! I'm really happy with this purchase.

I've owned two field jackets in the past and can confirm this to be authentic, very durable and will last for years. Very warm, very wind proof, as good as the real deal! Excellent service and fast shipping, love KeepShooting. Warmly recommended.

Excellent construction and well thought out overall design, for my short torso there's plenty of material around the body. The one detail they left out was they neglected to extend the waist belt over the entirety of the jacket, if you wanted the old style look with that tie around the base of the waist look elsewhere, unless they send out a update with a different version. For me this isn't a deal breaker, overall it was worth the 25.00 dollars spent.

Arms and legs look good as always , jacket is pretty warm and great value , quality is very nice. I love it . I will order more when the temperature drops a little more . This is for someone with big legs too ! And size 3xl with bige pants fits great. It looks awesome ! It has a tiger strip kind of styeling to it ! But ,it does look nice ! It's like when it get a little colder outside you can add on layers of clothing and this jacket does a pretty decent job in keeping you warm for the cold time of season. Just add a couple more layers , as the outside thermometer gets even lower .

Really like the coat. It is a very nice copy of the original field coat and does the job. The insulation makes the winter time a little warmer.

I haven't washed it yet but, the fabric seems strong. I'm thinking that the liner will need washing to soften it up a bit but, it's not too scratchy.

Size XXL it fits well.. 10-15mnths long is a great advantage over Military issue of XL. Sleeves length is as well to my shoulder cap with my physic!

Jacket fits well. I ordered it a little large so that it would fit over my work clothes and it works well. A warm jacket.

coat runs a lager but runs smaller than listed size try one size up this is an awsome coat highly recommend. i just love this coat!! very warm and sturdy. highly recommended

The fit is a little bigger but its like a jacket for an other size I will take this. The insulating factor makes up for the bigger fit for warmth

Awesome parka, a great fit and well made. Arms a little too long, that's why it got 4 and not 5. Still I'm very happy with it.

The Coat I bought in the Spring was better that any Cold weather coat I ever had. The problem I had with the other coats was when they got wet they kept the cold out but when they got dry they let the cold in and it would be just as cold inside as out. This coat works like that with only 1 problem, there is no zipper on the jacket and with it buttoning up the 7 large snaps made my back ache after a day in the field hunting, I know I am not in great shape and have trouble bending over. I would pay more for a jacket with a zipper but then it may cost more than I am willing to pay for.

Fits great and is exactly what I was looking for. I am about 5'10 200lb and I ordered a small and it fits great. If you are looking for a fitted fit, get the medium. Medium fit is perfect if you are like me. It's got plenty of space to layer underneath as well. It has liner sewn in but I am looking to get a silk liner to wear with it to give it a little extra warmth and also just to keep my back cool as it can trap heat. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it is kind of short in the arms and they don't give you an option to get it lengthened or not. I have short arms and would like to get it lengthened. I will update this review once I have it shortened.

My only complaint would be the shoulder straps could be better sewn to the jacket, they are very long. Other than that, the jacket is what I was looking for, a classic M65 type field jacket.

Good jacket, fits as expected. A little tight in the body length.

My father has the military field jacket in OD green from 1968 or 1969 that was just recently taken by a flood so I had to replace it. I looked for some time for the jacket I remembered as a kid but could not find it in OD or coyote brown anywhere until now. The sizes run big so if you're going to order this you have to order a few sizes down. I ordered the 2XL but would have been fine with the 1XL or L size. great coat and good quality for the price. It has a little shinier look to it than the old one but still great.

Well made and warm

This is an extremely well made jacket, with heavy duty materials and strong stitching, even with frequent washing, I expect it to hold up for years. I ordered a medium but I think I should have ordered a small as it runs a bit big. The removable liner can be packed up and carried with you in a small pouch, allowing for use of the jacket as a light weight coat in warmer weather. Very satisfied. The attached hat doesn't have a brim, which is nice if you want to wear it in the woods or for paintball, and won't be getting it caught on tree branches.
