The Rothco M-65 Field Jacket follows the pattern of the US military's M-65, a layering field coat built to shed wind and weather and carry gear in four big pockets. This version comes in solid black, which works for security and duty wear, workwear, or everyday use. It is a commercial reproduction made by Rothco, not issued surplus.

Features

• Cotton And Polyester Shell — The blended outer fabric combines the softer hand of cotton with the durability and shape retention of polyester.
• Brass Front Zipper — A heavy brass zipper runs the full front and closes up into the stand collar.
• Snap Storm Flap — A fabric flap with snaps covers the zipper to block wind and rain from coming through the front closure.
• Four Flap Pockets — Two chest pockets and two lower hip pockets each sit under a closing flap to keep contents in place.
• Zippered Collar Compartment — The tall stand-up collar has a zipper along the top, the traditional M-65 stowage space built into the collar itself.
• Liner Buttons — Buttons along the inside of the front let a quilted liner attach for extra warmth in cold weather.
• Epaulets — Buttoned shoulder straps, a standard military detail, sit on both shoulders.
• Adjustable Cuffs — Tabs at the sleeve ends let you tighten the cuffs over gloves or close out drafts.

Fit And Construction

The jacket has a hip-length cut that covers the waistband and leaves room for a sweater or fleece underneath, so it works on its own in cool weather and as an outer shell over layers when it gets colder. Hardware is brass, and the snaps and buttons are set along the front placket and inner facing. The pattern follows the original M-65 layout, so owners of other M-65 jackets will recognize the pocket placement and collar.
