Rothco M-65 Field Jacket

The M-65 is the US Army field coat introduced in 1965. Rothco builds this version on the original pattern, in khaki poly-cotton twill with a water-repellent finish. It keeps the hood in the collar, four cargo pockets and a button-in liner, so one jacket can cover a cool fall morning or, with the liner fitted, a cold winter day. It is a practical coat for outdoor work, hunting camp, travel or everyday wear.

• Water-Repellent Poly-Cotton Twill — The cotton and polyester blend is woven as twill, a diagonal weave that resists abrasion, and treated to shed light rain.
• Removable Quilted Liner — An insulated liner buttons into the shell for cold weather and comes out when you only need a windbreaker.
• Hood Stowed In The Collar — A drawstring hood folds away inside the zippered collar and comes out when the weather turns.
• Brass Zipper With Storm Flap — A heavy brass front zipper sits behind a snap-down storm flap, an outer panel that blocks wind and rain from coming through the closure.
• Four Snap-Flap Cargo Pockets — Two chest and two hip pockets close with snap flaps to keep gear secure.
• Hook-And-Loop Cuffs — Adjustable cuff tabs cinch tight over gloves or loosen for airflow.
• Waist And Hem Drawstrings — Internal cords at the waist and bottom hem pull in to trap warmth and tailor the fit.
• Bi-Swing Shoulders — Pleated panels behind the shoulders give extra room when you reach forward or raise your arms.
• Shoulder Epaulets — Snap-down epaulets on each shoulder keep the traditional military look and can hold a strap in place.

Construction And Fit

This is a commercial reproduction rather than surplus. It follows the cut and features of the 1965 US military M-65, and the poly-cotton blend makes it easy to care for. The shell is cut long enough to cover the hips, with room underneath for a sweater or fleece. If you plan to wear the liner and heavy layers together, consider your usual size first and size up only if you want a looser fit.
