I'd used it during winter or go to gun range

Great jacket. Memories of the military

Wanted a new jacket for our move to South Carolina. Wanted an everyday color to be able to wear anywhere. With either jeans or casual pants. Perfect. Had to add an extra strip of Velcro on the wrist area.

Its a big coat

Review by Glennis H.

Its quality made as far as mass production goes. Durable material. Its a very big coat, but warm and more comfortable than it looks. If you are a muscular build with good posture, or on the bigger side, order your regular size. If you want a more fitted look, or are on the smaller side then buy a size down.

Unbelievable deal on a quality product

Although it's hard to mess up a classic jacket like the M-65, Rothco once again delivers a quality product as advertised. Arrived on time, in original packaging. I own a classic all-cotton version, and while the 50/50 is slightly less breathable, it is more water repellent, and doesn't wrinkle as much.

It Reminds Me Of My Years In The Army

One key factor I was looking forward to is the strong zipper securing the coat. My years old favorite winter coat had seen better days. The bottom of the zipper had worn and would not stay meshed together at the bottom if the slightest pressure was exerted at that point. The M65 field jacket's zipper should last a long time.

Shoulda listened...

Can't tell you how close I was to buying the $280 ALPHA INDUSTRIES model of this jacket. In the end, ALPHA didn't have it in stock for khaki - and the ALPHA jackets come with no liner. However, I'm generally a "you get what you pay for" kind of guy so I figured I should buy the ALPHA.

But after thinking about it - I chose to take a risk on the ROTHCO M-65 and, I'm glad I did.

The COLOR isn't the perfect "khaki" of the ALPHA, but it's still a very accurate version of khaki and will probably fade with time and boy ... you cannot beat the workmanship in this jacket. I know, I know - I have purchased ROTHCO in the past and alway thought of them as the "cheap guys" - but this jacket doesn't skimp and I can't see paying over $200 bucks for the ALPHA version of this jacket.

I can't find a thing wrong with it. It may be made in China, but it looks like it's suited to be issued in BOOT CAMP and, I am a retired Navy Vet. It's perfect in all respects.

Sizing is ACCURATE. If you want the traditional M-65 fit, go with whatever size you normally wear. If you want the "Brad Pitt" look - size it down. I needed a utility jacket that I could move around in and was WARM. I wear an XL and that's what I ordered - couldn't be happier.

Can't believe how close I was to pulling the trigger on the $200 version of this jacket from ALPHA.

Best Jacket I've Ever Had

Let me get this out fast: if you are going to use it like a regular jacket, and not in a big layering system, GET A SIZE SMALLER than you usually wear. Im a size Large, got this in Medium, and it's just right.

First, it looks absolutely amazing. I even wear it to church. Second, it is surprisingly warm for it's thickness. Third, it's perfect for layering (since that's what M65s were designed for). You get the point, it's a really good jacket.

Note, that the sleeves are bigger around than you normally see on jackets. That goes back to the purpose of this one, to be used in layering systems.
You know when you try to layer under a jacket, but your arms are constricted because of all the fabric trying to fit in the sleeves? Doesnt happen here.

Also, the synthetic liner is slippery, so putting it on and taking it off is really fast and easy. Even wearing wearing tons of layers.

There are so many other things I want to say, but im running out of time. In short, well worth the money!

Great jacket

By far the best jacket I have. The removable liner makes it great for 3/4 seasons. The size fits me very well and the quality is very good. I am very satisfied with my purchase. An inner pocket would be great.
