Mechanix Wear Multicam Original Tactical Gloves

Nice gloves. Very similar to the mechanix version I had in USMC uniform. Except they are better and cheaper. Unfortunately they run big for the size. Had to order an XL. They will do, I’m hoping they stretch a bit with time and use. They do look awesome though.

My son works in construction, he says these gloves work great! They’re comfortable and they hold up to some pretty heavy use. Great value!

They don't last very long. I have a very rough job, my hands take a pounding. I don't know if it's the fabric of these or if it's what I'm using them for. But every month I lose one of the gloves to holes. Still better than nothing though. So if you're looking for a light weight, very thin pair of gloves, that don't last very long, these are the pair for you. If you need something to get you through a long project and are on a budget, then they're a great pair to pick up. Just make sure you order the size you're normally wear in gloves.

These gloves aren't amazing, they're just your standard gloves. However, I like them and am still using them. That's a pretty good review, right? The fit and comfort is just fine. I can do all my knife tasks, touch screens and other manual tasks easily with these gloves on.

My dad is a retired sheet metal worker. These are great gloves for him to use around the house and yard. They are great for touching hot things. My favorite gloves to wear are Touch of Africa...they feel great but don't have as much padding as these do. These will last longer than my other brands of work gloves and you can't tell by looking at them. They are very flexible and fit my large hand nicely. My husband loves them.

I am writing this 3 months after my initial review. It’s been long enough that my opinion hasn’t changed. If you’re a tactical person or like having gloves for general work these gloves will be the ones you’ll always grab for. The fit, grip, quality and longevity is unparalleled in my opinion. These have held up better than most other gloves I’ve had in the same conditions. I use them when shooting as they provide just enough dexterity for me. I used to use another glove that had soft, durable material and my finger nails always wore away using them as they were pretty thin. With these gloves my nails are as they should be. I used them on a few shoots in desert conditions and these held up just as well. In fact, one morning I noticed a hole in the top of the index finger. I didn’t know how it got there and to be honest I didn’t even see it before it was there. I can’t imagine a projectile or any kind of sharp edge could penetrate the finger. My only wish is that Mechanix would start to use leather as the fingertips for extra grip. As you can see in the pictures they wear out faster than any other glove I’ve ever had. This pair is now on their last pair of finger tips and they’re almost worn through the leather. I can replace them, I can patch them, I can sew on another tip or use some moleskin. I have an almost unneeded expense when it’s all said and done. They fit great. I use them for all the reason mentioned in other reviews. Shooting, training, wood cutting, gardening. They just plain wear better than any glove I’ve ever owned. They breathe well and you’ll find yourself wearing these more often because of it. The feel is just like bare hands. I don’t think it’s possible to feel much better. You’ll notice some of the reviews are from 5+ years ago. These things don’t go out of date, ever. I wear them when shooting. Training, etc.. Then they get soiled or torn up and I toss them. The only thing they wear out is the fing

Good gloves and fit perfectly, just not sure about durability. Worn for hunting, gun handling, shooting and bow hunting. Seems to be wearing out a little quicker than hoped. Hopefully not an indication of quality. If they hold up I will definitely buy again.

Works for training my service dog. He is rough with his teeth and nails and these gloves are holding up so far

I know they are pricy but I finally got a good set of work gloves. I work as a butler so there are times when gloves are required and all the junk that's sold in stores are just over priced crap. I got these from NWSS just a couple months ago and these have yet to let me down, can use my phone, pick up stuff without damaging them, everything!

Perfect for riding. I was going to return them, because I didn't think I'd need them, but then I got to work and it was cold and windy. It turns out that these gloves work great in the workshop too! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of a smell that I noticed after the first time I wore them. I'm not sure if it's because they're "tactical" gloves, or because they're synthetic, but I noticed a strong smell. It's a little off-putting, but I think it might go away with time. I'll keep them and see. I would definitely buy again.

Fits true to size

Fit great. The "Fit Key" instructions that come with them are invaluable to get them fitting just right. 1/4" seems to be about the max I can wear before they start pinching.

I've tried many different types of gloves, some work well some are garbage. These are amazing gloves, even my son (Army medic) has them. The only problem I've had with them is they don't hold up to everything, I keep 2 pair so when these get holes, which they eventually do, then I get a new pair, it is nice that I can find the gloves I want on Amazon and have them shipped to me.

This is the second time I've bought these gloves and it's a toss up between them and the Carhartts on my wish list. I bought the Large but they are very snug on the tips of my fingers. I usually wear XL. These fit snug but if they were stretchy, they'd make me very happy. For $10, they're worth it and have saved my hands a few times already this year. These seem more sturdy and long lasting than the fast fashion ones. If you're used to how other mechanic gloves are put together, they will feel "cheap" to you, as they aren't double stitched and aren't reinforced at the tip of the fingers. But they're not bad at all.

This is my third pair. The palm materials wear out after about 3 months, which is why I'm only buying one pair at a time. Still a great glove.

Good fitting but do wear out FAST! I was expecting to get 3-6 months of good use.

Love this brand of gloves and especially love that the logo isn't on the front. This is my 3rd pair and I plan on getting another pair soon. The one complaint I have with these are the little things. They seem a little cheaper than other brands and when I bought the others I bought extras just to have spares. On this pair the velcro strap in the wrist came unstitched after about a month of use and the little loops that connect the index finger with the thumb came unstitched about a week after that. But the rest of the glove held up fine.

Work good

If your mechanic and love gloves then buy them now! They're super soft, thin and durable, well-made and super breathable and well as stylish (i use for mechanic works, handy as h**l, not rough as I originally expected but its durable as a wrench! For military usage its good enough and a good start to gear and stuff for field work (these are all you really need besides fire arms), and these things last! Worth the investment! And for leisure uses like jogging, out door activities or simple woodwork, hunting etc this thing saves you and is stylish and breathable! Buy these! For my other gloves they are meant for rough usage, this are for work around the home or office and i do think these arw better quality. But overall its worth a 4 stars only cause there aren't multi finger and for all your uses, buy them! Mechanixwear quality its awesome

Great gloves

Mechanix gloves are just that, mechanix. These work well for working on the car, doing work around the house, they even work well in an environment where I was picking cotton in the middle of a cotton field in South Texas for about 10 hours. The fit is true to size and very comfortable. I've had several pairs of these gloves and each have been just as good as the last.

Good product. Comfortable and the price point was great. Definitely satisfied. I use them at work as heavy duty oven mitts. They hold up very well. Not a complaint.

I like Mechanix gloves and have purchased other styles in the past. These were my second pair and they're really fine. If you have large hands though, these might not fit you well, so you might have to go up a size. The gloves are fairly thin and provide minimal warmth, but you can feel everything. They work as designed and allow you to have pretty good control over what you're doing, though your hands might get a little sore from using a power drill all day, etc. These have always been my go-to gloves for winter and even in summer if I need them. If you're not looking for anything super heavy duty and want some gloves that are thin enough to work with a cell phone or small iPad, these are the way to go.
