Rothco's Vintage Infantry Utility Shorts take the cut of a military field short and make it in heavyweight washed cotton. The color is olive drab, the muted green long used on US military clothing. With pleated cargo pockets, a drawstring waist and drawstring leg openings, they work as well for yard work, hiking and camp as they do for everyday wear.

Fabric And Fit

These are new commercial shorts made by Rothco, not military-issue surplus. The vintage look comes from washing and distressing the cotton. Because the drawstrings adjust both the waist and the legs, you get some leeway on fit, and the relaxed, longer cut leaves room for a pocketknife, phone and keys in the cargos.
