223 Remington Range Ammo

PMC Bronze 223 Remington is a 55 grain full metal jacket load for range days, practice and high-volume target shooting. It is the bullet weight most AR-15 owners start with, and it works for drilling fundamentals, zeroing and breaking in a new rifle. Each box holds 20 brass-cased rounds.

Features

223 Remington Caliber — Chambered for rifles marked .223 Remington, and also safe to fire in rifles chambered for 5.56 NATO.
55 Grain Bullet — Grain is a unit of bullet weight, and 55 grain is the standard weight for general-purpose .223 shooting.
Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail — FMJ-BT means a lead core fully covered in a copper jacket, with a tapered base that helps the bullet hold a steadier path downrange.

Load And Compatibility

This load suits AR-15 rifles and other semi-automatic and bolt-action rifles chambered in .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO. The FMJ bullet does not expand on impact, so it belongs on the range and in training rather than in hunting or defensive use. Check the caliber stamped on your barrel before loading, and note that a rifle marked .223 Remington only should not be fed 5.56 NATO ammunition.
