SABRE Defense DPS Mk-9 High Volume Tear Gas Fogger

High Volume OC Fogger

The SABRE DPS Mk-9 is a large-format fogger built for crowd management and cell extraction, where one person has to fill a space with irritant rather than hit a single target. Instead of a narrow stream, it throws a cloud of 10% OC (oleoresin capsicum, the active compound extracted from hot peppers) that hangs in the air across a wide area. The 18.5 oz canister and pistol grip make it a corrections and security tool. It is too large for a pocket.

Features

• 10% OC, 500,000 SHU — The formula is rated at 500,000 Scoville Heat Units, the standard scale for measuring pepper heat, as printed on the canister.
• Fog Delivery Pattern — The nozzle disperses a broad cloud rather than a stream, so it covers an area instead of requiring a precise hit.
• 25 to 30 Foot Range — The fog reaches roughly 25 to 30 feet (about 7.5 to 9 m), which keeps the operator back from the people being contained.
• Twelve 1-Second Bursts — The 18.5 oz charge delivers about twelve one-second bursts before the canister is spent.
• Dual Propellant System — DPS pairs DuPont Dymel 134a propellant with nitrogen gas to keep output pressure consistent as the canister empties.
• Non-Flammable Formula — The label marks it as compatible with electronic immobilization devices, meaning it can be used alongside a conducted energy weapon without the risk of ignition.
• Pistol Grip Actuator — A full-hand trigger grip mounted over the canister gives a steady hold and lets you aim the cloud with one hand.
• Safety Pin on Lanyard — A pull ring and pin tethered to the head block the trigger to prevent accidental discharge in storage or transport.
• UV Marking Dye — An ultraviolet dye in the spray marks anyone exposed, so they can be identified later under UV light.
• Made in USA — The canister is marked as manufactured in the United States, item number 910060-C.

Formulation And Build

The canister is a black aluminum-style aerosol body topped by a screwed-together polymer actuator with an integrated pistol grip and yellow trigger tab. Contents are under pressure and the label warns that the spray is a severe skin, eye and respiratory irritant, so read the full warnings on the back label before use. Check your state and local laws on carrying and using OC products of this size before you order.
