Sellier & Bellot is an experienced ammunition manufacturer that was established in 1825 that today finds its headquarters in Vlašim, Czech Republic. Founded by French merchant Louis Sellier, the company was originally established in Prague in order to produce percussion caps for armed forces as per the request of Francis I, then Emperor of Austria. Once joined by Jean Maria Nicolaus Bellot, the company began enjoying early successes with production of percussion caps exceeding 60 million by the early 1830s. Today, the company is a subsidiary of CBC, one of the world's largest manufacturers of small arms ammunition, and produces a range of pistol, rifle and shotgun ammunition in a wide range of different calibers, including the ever-popular 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge.
As one would expect, any manufacturer that has been around for nearly two centuries has probably garnered a great deal of respect in regards to their quality, precision and reliability – Sellier & Bellot is no exception. Despite being a subsidiary of Brazil's CBC, all Sellier & Bellot ammunition continues production in the Czech Republic and is manufactured according to C.I.P. regulations.
That said Sellier & Bellot 9mm ammunition is manufactured with only non-corrosive Boxer primers. Each box of Sellier & Bellot 9mm ammunition contains 50 rounds of non-corrosive, brass-cased cartridges. Each cartridge contains a 115 gr full metal jacket projectile, which provides for increased muzzle velocities. In fact, this load is capable of producing muzzle velocities that have been observed to travel at speed of up to 1,300 fps.
