Recommended Patch for Air Force Spouses

As a veteran, I purchased this patch to sew on my bag for trips. My hubby was very impressed by the thoughtfulness of it. He is an Air Force Master Sergeant, retiring in a few months. He has told me on several occasions that his career is the worst thing that ever happened to him. I understand that the military can be very demanding and at times unkind, but the benefits that he received from the military far out weigh the bad. This little piece of yellow thread and material represents the tougher times that he went through in his military career. The humorous quote says that military wives need a tougher skin. I agree! We are not spared the crappy things that the military does. We are not the bosses of the career officers, even if we are higher educated than they are. We take our orders, eat it, spit it out and don't say a word about the indignities that our husbands face on a daily basis. We do not know what is happening at all times. When they are out on their 12 hour field missions in the cold, the sun, etc. and we are not informed, we are still required to have all the bases covered, while they are trying to catch up on paperwork, if there is paperwork. We get yelled at, made to feel bad and expected to always do a great job, as if there is an alternative. It doesn't matter how wonderful we try to be, or however much work that we put in. There is a whole different standard that the military puts on military wives and it's bullshit! When our spouses get out, it will take them years to find the rhythm of civilian life. It will take months to be appreciated for what we do and for them to learn that life doesn't go at the rate that the military requires. That is why we need a thicker skin than most, so when our vets get a little pissy with the transition, we are patient, loyal and tolerant. It will take a lot of adapting to and many many weeks of understanding, rebuilding trust, understanding boundaries and being clear with boundaries. When my hubby looks at this little piece of
