This Mil-Spec Monkey morale patch puts the US flag in a vertical shield shape with a pointed bottom and a gold border. It is molded from rigid PVC and has a hook-fastener back, so it attaches to the loop panels found on plate carriers, packs, caps and jackets. At 1.8 by 3 inches it is small enough for a hat front or shoulder panel and still easy to read from a distance.

Construction and Fit

Mil-Spec Monkey molds the flag in layers of colored PVC, so the stars and stripes stand slightly proud of the surface instead of being printed flat. The hook backing needs a loop-faced panel to attach to. Most tactical caps, plate carriers and modern packs have one, but bare MOLLE webbing does not. This is a non-regulation morale patch, meant for personal gear rather than uniform wear.
