This is the US military wet weather poncho liner, the quilted blanket soldiers call the woobie. It was designed to tie inside the issue poncho and turn a rain shelter into an insulated wrap. It also works as a standalone blanket or a sleeping bag liner. Campers, hunters, preppers and anyone who wants a light layer of warmth packed small will get use from one.
Features
- 62 x 82 Inch Size — At roughly 5 x 7 feet (157 x 208 cm), it covers an adult from shoulders to feet.
- Ripstop Nylon Shell — The 100% nylon fabric is woven with a reinforcing grid, so a small snag cannot run into a long tear.
- Quilted Poly-Fill Insulation — Synthetic fill sits between the two nylon layers and keeps insulating when damp, which is where it outperforms wool or down.
- Wave-Pattern Quilting — Curved stitch lines run across the whole blanket and hold the fill in place so it does not bunch at one end.
- Poncho Attachment Ties — Cords with metal tips are sewn around the edge so you can tie the liner to the grommets of a military poncho.
- Woodland Digital Camo — One face carries a green and brown pixelated woodland pattern, and the reverse is a solid brown.
- Bound Edges — An OD green (olive drab) nylon binding wraps the full perimeter and finishes every seam.
- MIL-L-43335 Specification — Built to the military's own published standard for the poncho liner rather than a maker's interpretation of it.
- Made In USA — Manufactured in the United States for military issue.
Issue Specification
This liner is genuine US military issue, made to MIL-L-43335 with a ripstop nylon shell, quilted polyester fill and tie cords spaced to match the standard poncho grommets. It packs into a small roll, weighs little, and dries quickly after a wet night. That combination has kept the design in service and in civilian packs for decades.

Best Surplus Blanket EverThis woobie liner is my go to now for backpacking. I attach it inside the poncho and it holds heat really well even if it gets a bit wet. Size is perfect at about 66 by 84 and it packs small.

Real deal USGI, worth every pennyThis is the genuine article not some cheap knockoff. You can tell by the stitching and the material. I used it as a poncho liner on a rainy overnight hike and it kept me warm and dry underneath my poncho. The size gives good coverage. Ive heard some people say the pattern fades after a few washes but mine still looks great after 3 washes. If you want a real woobie just get this one.
