The USGI Molle II Large Rucksack is a large rucksack that was designed for use by soldiers in the US Army. Taking decades of experience and history with previous army rucksacks, the Molle II Large Rucksack was the end result of this research and development project by the Department of Defense. This versatile rucksack has been combat proven and battle tested all around the world, and is now available for sale on the surplus market.
Starting with the size and rating, this large rucksack will immediately find a place in your gear collection. The rucksack measures approximately 28 inches tall and approximately 50 inches in diameter with a 200lb weight rating. That level of space and weight carrying capacity means you can load these rucksacks up with things that are essential for you to have on hand and it will handle duty work. The water repelling 1000 Denier Cordura will keep your gear dry and safe, with a combat proven track record. These rucksacks are also fully made in the USA, and have been previously used by our armed forces.

When I received this bag I was very excited. You had to look very hard to find any sign of use. Great bag except for the fact that the tabs on the back of the rucksack that attach it to the frame have been cut off. You can not carry it on your back as it intended. But for the price I still got a huge bag for storing equipment.
I ordered 2 of the bags. Both were in good to very good condition overall. They do not have the pack frames, which for the price you might expect. The problem with both of them is that on one bag the 6 attachment points to the frame were cut off and on the other 4 of them were cut off. If you need a replacement for your frame do not buy these. If you need a great big bag to put stuff in these are a good deal. The drag handle is not as heavy as it could be but it is OK. If the attachment straps were not cut off the only problem I had was that 1 bag had the drain grommet missing not a problem. Has a zipper between the top and bottom part of the bag. With the zipper open you might get a 3 part sleeping bag system in it or just lots of stuff.
