Description
US Army MOLLE II Butt Pack
This is the US Army's issue waist pack, often called the butt pack, from the MOLLE II load-carrying system. It rides at the small of the back and keeps a day's worth of gear off your hands and out of your main pack. Soldiers wore it on its own strap, or mounted it under an assault pack, rucksack or Fighting Load Carrier vest. It fits the same roles for hikers, campers and anyone building out an ACU-era loadout.
Features
- Digital ACU Camouflage — The pixelated Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP) the US Army issued with its Army Combat Uniform, with matching foliage-green webbing and hardware.
- Heavy-Duty Cordura Nylon — The body is cut from Cordura, a thick nylon fabric made to resist abrasion and scuffing in the field.
- Approx. 390 Cubic Inch Capacity — At roughly 15 x 6.25 x 5 inches, it has room for rain gear, a meal, a first-aid kit or a spare layer.
- Buckled Flap Closure — A wide top flap folds over the zippered main opening and is held down by two adjustable straps with quick-release buckles.
- Quick-Release Waist Strap — A 2-inch strap with a side-release buckle fits waists up to 48 inches, so the pack can be worn alone like a hip pack.
- MOLLE Attachment Straps — Straps on the back weave into MOLLE webbing (the rows of nylon loops on military packs and vests) to mount the pack to larger gear.
- Official NSN 8465-01-524-7263 — Carries a National Stock Number, the identifier the military uses to catalog and order issued equipment.
- Made In The USA — Produced in the United States for US military issue.
Original Issue Spec
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment, the army's system of webbing and straps that lets one pouch move between packs, vests and belts. This waist pack was built to that system's specification, so it lines up with other MOLLE II components without adapters. Buying genuine government issue gets you the fabric, hardware and stitching the Army specified, plus the documented provenance collectors and reenactors look for.

USGI MOLLE Waist PackOk folks, this thing is great! Holds securely, whatever you can stuff in it, tools, ammo, mags, food, water. Strong, quick release belt, quality zipper closure, tough durable material. Great for wearing or vehicle carrying of anything that will fit & its large volume will carry quite a bit. Beats the heck out of the old tried and true butt pack of yesterday. The price is too good to pass this up, I should’ve bought 3 more.
Quality USGI tough, large capacity, wear it or sling it.
I only bought 2 , I’ll buy more now, before they are gone

Great priceThis is the real deal, same NSN stamped right on it so you know its genuine issue and not some cheap copy. I use mine mostly at the range to keep extra mags, a small flashlight and my ear pro in one spot instead of leaving stuff scattered on the table. Clips right onto my belt with the buckle and stays put even when its loaded down, no bouncing around or sliding. The only nitpick I have is there can be some color variation on surplus pieces, mine had a small faded spot on the front but its nothing that affects function and honestly just gives it that used character. For what these cost versus buying new kit this is an absolute no brainer.
Clips securely to a 2 inch belt and doesnt move around even loaded
Surplus condition means possible fading or minor cosmetic wear

Great packUsed these same packs during my deployment and they're bulletproof reliable. The double zippers have never failed me even after years of abuse. Love that it's got the drainage vent so you don't have to worry about water getting trapped inside. The 2 inch belt is really comfortable even when loaded down with gear. For authentic USGI stuff this is exactly what you'd get issued, just way cheaper than buying it new from the government.
