The US Military MOLLE II Assault Pack is genuine GI-issued gear built for soldiers in the field and now available to civilian operators, hunters, and preppers. The Real DealPulled this out of the box and the first thing I did was flip it over and check the label NSN 8465-01-524-5250, Made in USA, DLA contract stamp, exactly what it should say. Ran the MOLLE II assault pack on my IBA rig from about '06 through two rotations and these things just don't quit. The 500D Cordura on the genuine issue packs is noticeably heavier and more abrasion-resistant than the knockoff versions floating around you can tell the difference the second you grab the top carry handle, it's thick nylon with proper bar-tack stitching at every stress point. Main compartment runs about 1,525 cubic inches which is tight for a full three-day load but totally workable for a patrol day kit, radio, and a couple MREs. The buckles on the shoulder harness snapped clean and tight, no wobble. Only gripe is what I always gripe about with surplus: the foam stiffener was missing on mine Army-Navy Outdoors and a couple other surplus houses specifically warn about this, so I wasn't shocked, just annoying. Way better than a Condor 3-day in terms of actual construction and the PALS rows on the exterior front pocket thread properly with standard pouches I run an IFAK and a dump pouch off mine now and they sit solid.

Great buyI wanted to buy a high quality backpack for hiking and carrying extra things with me on the passenger seat of my motorcycle. This MOLLE II Assault Pack worked out perfectly for me. Not too large as to make it heavy to carry and it fits my passenger seat on the motorcycle. It was easy to strap down to the seat with all the straps and loopholes that are sewn on the backpack. It has a thin plastic and foam insert that rests on your back to make it more comfortable to wear and to keep the inner part of the backpack its shape. It’s in great shape. No worn out areas or rips/tears. I ran it through the gentle cycle of the washing machine a few times. Let it air dry and it was ready to use. The price was very reasonable for such a high quality product.
