UTG 30-Round AR-15 Mag
This UTG polymer magazine holds 30 rounds of 5.56x45mm and fits AR-15 rifles. A clear window down the side shows how many rounds are left, so you can check your load without stripping cartridges or guessing by weight. UTG put it through a full-auto reliability test and a fully loaded temperature test from +160°F down to -40°F. It works as a range magazine, a spare for a chest rig, or a full set for a new build.
Features
- 30-Round Capacity — Holds 30 cartridges of 5.56x45mm, the standard NATO rifle chambering marked on the body.
- Round-Count Window — A clear strip with marks at 15, 20, 25 and 30 rounds shows your remaining ammunition at a glance.
- Four-Way Anti-Tilt Follower — The follower, the plastic block the spring pushes up under the cartridges, is shaped to stay level in the body so rounds feed straight, and its bright blue color makes an empty magazine easy to spot.
- Stainless Steel Spring — UTG specifies stainless steel for the spring to resist corrosion and keep tension over long use.
- Removable Flared Floor Plate — The base plate slides off for cleaning, and its flared lip gives your hand something to catch when pulling the magazine from a pouch or the rifle.
- Pull-Tab Cutout — A slot in the floor plate takes a paracord loop or makeshift pull tab for faster draws from a magazine pouch.
- Textured Grip Surface — Raised dots and ridges along the body give purchase with bare hands or gloves during loading and reloads.
- Tested Under Stress — UTG ran the design through full-auto fire and a fully loaded temperature test at +160°F and -40°F.
Build and Compatibility
The body is black polymer, which is lighter than steel or aluminum and does not dent if dropped. It is sized for AR-15 pattern rifles and seats in a standard AR-15 magazine well like any other 30-round magazine. The body is marked 5.56 X 45 and carries the UTG model code RBT-AM30.

Great Mag for the MoneyBeen buying PMAGs for years but figured Id try these UTG ones since they were cheap and had the windows. Honestly surprised. Ran about 150 rounds through two of them at a carbine class last weekend, zero malfunctions, dropped free every time. The window is actually handy for checking your count and the blue follower stands out so you know when youre empty. For thirteen bucks these are hard to beat, ordered four more.

BUY AS MANY AS YOU CAN AFFORD.90 rounds of "green tip" 5.56 through 5 different mags (90 per mag x 5 mags) - zero malfunctions. 150 rounds of 72 grain jhbt through 5 mags - zero malfunctions. As far as my amateur "home defense" needs go, I'm good to go. May buy 10 more at this price.
