Exactly What a JNA M70 Bayonet Should BeI've been collecting Cold War Warsaw Pact and Eastern Bloc edged weapons for about fifteen years now Czech vz. 58 bayonets, Polish wz. 6 AK bayo, East German side-arm pieces, the whole spectrum and I was genuinely impressed by the condition and authenticity of this example. It arrived with the classic JNA (Jugoslavenska Narodna Armija) depot cosmoline coating on the blade and scabbard hardware, consistent with long-term crate storage rather than having been issued and cycled hard. The Type II AKM-pattern design is clearly represented here: Bowie-style blade profile, the ribbed black Bakelite grip slabs, and the distinctive rubber-insulated wire-cutter scabbard that was a step up from the earlier Soviet Type I design. Overall length comes out right at 10.75 inches with a 5.75-inch blade, matching period specifications. Scabbard throat clasp is intact, spring tension is still positive, and the finish on the blade itself retains something like 90% very respectable for a piece that's probably been in a crate since the early 1990s dissolution of Yugoslavia. I compared this against a batch from Atlantic Firearms that I picked up a few years back graded 'Fair'; the Keep Shooting example is noticeably a grade higher on condition, worth the modest price difference imo.
Genuine JNA depot-stored surplus, not a reproduction
Matching Bakelite grip and scabbard are correct for the Type II AKM pattern
No individual condition grading listed at purchase you're trusting the lot,

Take the time to match quality with priceI purchased 4 bayonets from keep shooting three were outstanding but the yugo m56 bayonet was of poor quality and the blade was terribly pitted a bit pricey for the condition of the bayonet other than that keep shooting is a great company
