AR-15 Disconnector Spring

The disconnector spring is the small coil that sits under the disconnector inside an AR-15 trigger. It pushes the disconnector forward so it catches the hammer after each shot and holds it until you release the trigger. When this spring weakens, kinks or goes missing during a rebuild, the trigger can fail to reset. Fit And Installation

This spring is intended for standard AR-15 pattern trigger groups, the type found in a typical lower parts kit. On these triggers the disconnector spring goes into the pocket in the trigger body with the wider end down, and the disconnector sits on top before the trigger pin goes through. Drop-in cassette triggers and some aftermarket designs use their own springs, so check your trigger's documentation before ordering.
